2.1 Currently, Readify operates as a free service. We do not charge fees, serve third-party ads, or sell or rent your data.

2.2 If our business model changes in the future, we will update this Policy in advance and provide prominent notice.

(A) Types of Information Collected

You can use most core features without logging in, including uploading e-books, format conversion, and text-to-speech playback. Logging in allows enhanced features such as data synchronization.

1. Information collected without login

We collect only the information necessary to provide core service functions, including:

• Device information: Device model, system version, browser type, used for compatibility and performance optimization;
• Usage information: Feature usage frequency, navigation paths, used to improve product experience;
• Log information: IP address, access times, error logs, used for troubleshooting and security.

This information does not directly identify you and is used solely for service operation and improvement.

2. Information collected when logged in

When you log in or enable synchronization, we may collect the following information within your authorized scope:

• Account identifiers: Email, third-party login credentials;
• Synchronization data: Reading preferences, bookmarks, favorites, settings, etc.

All data collection will be clearly indicated during the authorization process. No additional information will be collected without explicit notice.

3. User-uploaded content

You may upload e-books (e.g., TXT, EPUB, PDF, AZW) to the Service for reading, formatting, or text-to-speech playback. Uploaded content is used solely to provide the Service and will not be used for other purposes.

(B) Purpose of Information Use

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve core functionality;
• Support format conversion, AI text-to-speech, and other services;
• Optimize performance and stability;
• Enable synchronization, settings management, and personalized content when logged in;

(C) Content Review and Compliance

We do not proactively monitor your uploaded e-books or generated content. Limited review may occur only under these circumstances:

• Suspected violations of the Terms of Use;
• Technical support requests to diagnose issues;

• Necessary measures to maintain platform security.

All reviews follow the principle of minimal necessary access.

4. Access, Sharing, and Disclosure of Information

(A) Information Sharing

• Service providers: Hosting, analytics, crash logging, and other services necessary to operate the Service, all bound by strict confidentiality;
